The university presented three books that were written by its professors based on their research;  "El modelo educativo salesiano" written by Blas Garzon, "Mecánica Racional Dinámica" by Julio Verdugo and "Desarrollo tecnológico en Ingeniería Automotriz" written by Cristian García, Juan Valladolid, Mary Vergara and Franklin Rivas. All three books were produced by the Abya Yala Publishing House.

The university's general vice president, Luis Tobar, congratulated the authors and spoke about how important these books will be for students and professors activities.

The Director of the Ecuadorian National Academy of History, Juan Cordero, commented on the book written by Blas Garzón, he highlighted the author's ability to capture the lives of the inhabitants of eastern Ecuador and above all the work done by the Salesians since their arrival in the eastern region, from the work they have developed to achieve their evangelization to their inclusion in the current world. The author of the book pointed out that the book is a socio-historical investigation that seeks to understand and explain the role of the Salesians in eastern Ecuador, particularly in the founding and development of the boarding school in Seville Don Bosco established in 1943. The book is the result of the doctoral research he carried out at Universidad Pablo de Olavide de Sevilla (Spain).

Professor Luis Gonzalez presented the book "Mecánica Racional Dinámica" who spoke about the importance of exact sciences. Julio Verdugo said his book can be considered a pedagogical resource, "it is a clear proposal of a basic dynamic program to be done in engineering".

Ismael Minchala, professor at Universidad de Cuenca, presented the book "Desarrollo tecnológico en Ingeniería Automotriz" which contains research from several professors of the automotive engineering undergraduate program at UPS. Fernando Villadolid, one of the authors, said the book contains the results of research and development of new techniques applied in the field of automotive engineering considering four elements: energy efficienc and environmental pollution, transportation planning, maintenance engineering applied to transport and technological disaggregation.
