The university's branch campus in Guayaquil held the 2018 Open House where professors and students presented several innovative projects and services provided by the university.

The inauguration was presided by UPS president Javier Herran, the university's vice president in Guayaquil, Andres Bayolo, and David Mora.

"The aim of the open house is that 12th grade high school students learn more about the university's programs and help them choose a profession for their future", said Javier Herran.

Students were able to demonstrate with their projects what they have learned in each of their undergraduate programs: industrial engineering, electricity, electronics and automation, computing, mechatronics, telecommunications, automotive engineering, accounting, business administration, communication and psychology.

The open house, held on August 23rd, was attended by 3,069 students from 45 high schools. They were guided around the university as they learned more about the programs they can study and projects carried out by students.

During the open house university officials presented the new undergraduate program, Environmental Engineering" which will begin this new semester in the "Maria Auxiliadora" campus in Guayaquil.
