Choir groups in Guayaquil participated in the festival "Unidos por la Música"

On August 29th, the university held the third edition of the choir festival titled "Together for Music" ("Unidos por la Música") which was organized by the our choir group.
The festival was held during our "Cultural Wednesday" program in Guayaquil and its seeks to disseminate traditional and contemporary music with local and national choir groups.
The following choir groups took part in the festival:
 
- Coro UPS  
- Coral Adventista 
- Coro UEES  
- Coro de Voces Blancas de la Unidad Educativa Adventista del Pacífico  
- Coro de la Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil  
- Juvenil de la Universidad de Guayaquil 
- Tabot Korall ero  
- Coro de niños de la Universidad de Guayaquil  
- Jazz Voices 
- Coro Femenino Cantahuarmi de la Universidad de Guayaquil  
 
It was a two day festival where the participating choirs sang religious, latin american, jazz, contemporary and nationall music. "The songs represent Andean culture and these activities enable us to recover that national spirit through music", said Boris Inga, psychology student of our university.
 
Steven Talbot, director of the "Tabot Korall ero" choir group, said these events should be held constantly since they represent our country's culture. "It is always a pleasure to come to UPS since they support art in our city", he said.
 
At the end of the event the directors of the choir groups were given recognition plaques for their participation in the festival.
