The university's Abya Yala Publishing House presented three books written by UPS professors based on their research: "Aplicación de las NIIF en el Ecuador desde la perspectiva contable positiva", "Ingeniería Automotriz: Clave para el desarrollo sostenible del Ecuador", and "Cálculo Integral y su Solucionario".

Andres Bayolo, vice president of the university's branch campus in Guayaquil, spoke about the importance of scientific production in the university. "These books are the result of our professors' hard work and effort, their work contributes to the university's academic excellence", he said.

The book "Aplicación de las NIIF en el Ecuador desde la perspectiva contable positiva" written by Maria Alexandra Chavez and Migual Herrera is about an analysis of international accounting norms. The first part of the book is about research based on accounting theory and it aims to explain decisions of administrators. The second part contains case studies that show the application of different international norms.

The book "Ingeniería Automotriz: Clave para el desarrollo sostenible del Ecuador", written by Renato Fierro and Andres Ordoñez is a collection of different studies on sustainable development in Ecuador in three conditions: encourage academic research, increase scientific production in this field according to the country's needs.

Finally, the text "Cálculo Integral y su Solucionario", written by Fernando Araujo, is a book created for students of engineering programs who, during their university education, will see this subject as a tool in the solution of problems. The book is divided into five chapters: the first two are about the technical part of integration, the third chapter studies integrals defined as an introduction to the fourth section that deals with the application of integrals in solving problems of physics and engineering. The last section deals with parametric equations and functions in polar coordinates, as well as other tools used in mathematics.
