The robotics club in our branch campus in Quito took part in the event: Robomatrix Continental 2018 that was held in Universidad Panamericana de Guadalajara (Mexico). They participated in the following categories: Minisumo Autónomo, Seguidor de Línea Abierto and Robot Laberinto.

In the first two categories, the members of the robotics club made it to the finals and won first place in the Robot Laberinto category, which assures their participation in the next event that will take place in Poland.

The Robomatrix Continental is an annual contest that brings together Latin American students and seeks to develop their skills in this field. This year there were 360 participants from around the world.

The robotics club is made up by María Rodríguez, Wladimir Pachacama and Michael Rivera. "It was a great experience, it helped us grow professionally and it was an honor to represent the university", said Pachacama.

The members of the club thanked the support of their vice president in Quito's branch campus, Jose Juncosa, professors Roberto Perez and Ramon Perez.
