UPS-Cuenca professor Luis Fernando Guerrero and students Adrián Sebastián Moscoso and Ivan Alexander Cueva presented their papers in the "2016 IEEE NW Russia Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Conference" held in St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" and IEEE Russia North West Section in the city of Saint Petersburg, Russia.

These students and their professor belong to the UPS-Cuenca Telecommunications and Telematics Research Group (GITEL for its acronym in Spanish). Here are the papers they presented:

•    "Analysis of Mobile Wallet Model Applicable for Ecuador", presented by Professor . Fernando Guerrero, seeks to efficiently use telecommunications resources in the country.

•    "Transformer Transient Analysis Under High Frequencies: Comparison with and without capacitor" presented by students Adrián Sebastián Moscoso and Iván Alexander Cueva. The aim of this research is to counter the effects caused by electrical storms in distribution feeders.
