UPS-Cuenca professor and researcher Gustavo Bravo, a member of the Cloud Computing Smart Cities & High Performance Computing GIHP4C Research Group , presented a system based on semantic intelligence during the 10th IEEE Congress on Semantic Computing which was held in Laguna Hills, California.

Professor Bravo's project captured everyone's attention, but especially Guy P. Djoken's, Unesco's Center for Peace Executive Director, who encouraged Professor Bravo to continue working on his project and increase Latin American people's knowledge, particularly for those who do not have acces to educational environments.

The system created by Professsor Bravo uses worldwide knowledge bases to tell stories from information stored in different user profiles, through consulting text and images. The system recognizes relevant topics and runs semantic processes to create narratives or stories with multimedia content. Furthermore, the bases can be improved sustainably with users comments.

Professor Bravo's project was the only one from Ibero America, and so Djoken showed his interest in visiting Ecuador, particularly UPS, to personally learn more about the progress of science and education.
