On January 30th and 31st, 60 students from the university's branch campus in Guayaquil presented "Don Bosco, the Musical" in the university's theater in Cuenca. This play was prepared in 2015 for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Don Bosco and was adapted from the Spanish comedy titled "Don Bosco" written by Antonio Gil, poems by Juan Faner and music by Jose Antonio Garcia Morato and Oscar Gomez.

The play shows the Salesian Oratory from a dynamic and fun perspective where the preventive system of Don Bosco based on reason, religion and love becomes a reality. "It's a different way of telling the life and death of Don Bosco, as well as all his actions to educate youth", said Gabriel Gallardo, who plays Don Bosco and directs the play.

Several salesian schools and institutions attended the two hour play which was full of dance, theater, singing and of course spirituality. "Don Bosco's life is very significant for all Salesians and I think it's very enjoyable to present it like thios", said Kenji Cevallos, one of the dancers in the musical. "This play is done with all the love in the world", said Gallardo.

Some of the actors are: Gabriel Gallardo as Don Bosco, Tatiana Moreira as Mama Margaret, Christian Ríos as Antonio, Ricardo Pico as  Magone, Amaranta Santa María as Ella.

The choreography was in charge of Maria de los Angeles Andrade, music and choir by Ruth Diaz, the band by Kevin Barba and production by Luis Alvarez Rodas.
