Universidad Politécnica Salesiana and Unidad Educativa Técnico Salesiano (UETS) signed an agreement to create the Artificial Intelligence and Assistive Technologies Research Group in UETS. This agreement will foster the creation of innovative technological projects with social and research purposes.

The agreement states the creation of a Junior digital magazine through the UNESCO Chairs Program Technological Support for Inclusive Education. The magazine will be academic but aimed at young people, it will disseminate research projects and applied research. UETS will provide the physical space and conditions needed to adequately develop the projects approved by both institutions.

Fernando Pesantez, UPS Academic Vice President and a member of the UNESCO Chairs Program, was pleased with the signing of the agreement which will allow both institutions to work together in projects for social development. Omar Alvarez, principal of UETS, said that thanks to the agreement his students will now be able to develop useful projects for society, especially for those who need it the most.

Rene Avila, ratified the commitment of UPS, an institution that seeks to constantly work on community involvement projects in benefit of vulnerable groups.
