Four high school will take part in the "University Mathematics for high school students" project

Universidad Politecnica Salesiana held an opening ceremony for a new course titled "University Mathematics for high school students". The meeting was attended by officials from all the participating institutions.

The university's vice president in Cuenca, Cesar Vasquez, welcomed students from Tecnico Salesiano, Guillermo Mensi, Daniel Cordova and Manuel J. Calle High Schools, who will directly benefit from the project. Cesar Vasquez spoke about the importance of carrying out these projects and giving students the opportunity to become familiar with university math. He asked students to be committed to their studies and persevere during this project. 

Javier Armijos, coordinator of this project, explained the importance of mathematics in people's everyday lives. Classes will begin on March 14th and end on June 2nd and will take place in the university building located in "Maria Auxiliadora" from 5 to 7pm.

High school representatives thanked UPS for holding this project and said they will support their students to better prepare for their entry to the university
