1500 students began the induction courses in Guayaquil

About 1500 students in the university's branch campus in Guayaquil are currently taking the induction course before starting a new semester in business administration, accounting, auditing, communication and engineering in: electricity, electronics and automation, industrial, computing, mechatronics, telecommunications and automotive mechanical engineering. 

The course began with an explanation about the undergraduate programs and costs for students; first there was a talk for students and their parents , they were then taken on a tour around the university to learn more about its infrastructure and technological equipment. "The talks were led by faculty directors and people from the student services department", said Monica Castro, director of the student services department.

For three weeks students will cover topics such as mathematics, grammar and introduction to UPS, they will then take a final exam to enter the university and begin their studies.
On another, the university has extended the registration period which started on March 23rd. The new induction courses will begin on April 11. "I would like to continue my studies in UPS because it is a very option for me", said Andrea Vivanco, one of the applicants to study at UPS.
