Information and Communication Technologies for disabilities

Nowadays, information and communication technologies play a significant role in supporting disabilities and are relevant in social, occupational and educational inclusion. ICTs can be found in the second objective of the National Plan for Good Living. 

The aim of the university's Information and Communication Technologies for disabilities Research Group (TICAD) is to help society with research that will favor inclusion and facilitate autonomy for disabled people.

Research topics:

-    Inclusive education for disabled people
-    Educational needs and inclusive technologies
-    Hardware and software products that favor disabled people's autonomy. 
-    Inclusive man-machine interfaces

 

 

 

Objectives

 

Contribute in making the world a fairer place with equality in order to favor social, occupational, and educational inclusion by developing products and services for disabled people.

Our group has worked on several activities regarding community involvement and conducted research in favor of educational and occupational inclusion for people with disabilities.
