The "Back to School" Open House seeks to encourage entrepreneurship

The university's Coworking office in Guayaquil held an Open House which they called "Back to School" where about 400 students from several majors participated to show visitors their innovative and entrepreneurship projects.

The aim of the Open House was that students learn more about the Coworking office, "This is the opportunity for students to carry out projects and learn complementary competencies", said Daniel Carabajo, coordinator of the Coworking office in Guayaquil.

Participants were given a talk about coworking and visited the stands in which young entrepreneurs presented their projects which are being supported by UPS. Some of the companies that took part in the event were: "Los Líderes", "Ella SED", "EVRIOM", "Balero", "Marketing Eco Cultural", "Weisner Sweet" and "City Tour Nómada" 

"This place allows you to develop your ideas with people who are not afraid of making mistakes", said Angie Garcia, business administration student. 

For Dayana Arevalo, a student in the university's branch in Cuenca, these activities help improve the professional being educated in the institution. "They are considering a new learning approach that is very important for education in Ecuador", she said.

To end the open house there were several talks, such as: "My experience as an entrepreneur", "Challenges of an entrepreneur", "From an idea to a company", "The business of serving", "University Pastoral , a style for serving", and others.
