Students from UPS's branch campus in Guayaquil presented eighteen scientific articles during the 6th Research Meeting organized by the industrial engineering undergraduate program.

The main topic of these scientific works was "Production", which was divided into seven research aspects: energy, safety, quality, environment, recycling, economics and technology.

Pablo Parra, coordinator of this event, said these projects were presented by students who are about to graduate. Five of the papers that were presented were graduation projects, four from business administration and one from industrial engineering. "Professors were there to guide students while they were able to strengthen their knowledge", said Parra. 

One of the works presented, titled "Use of recycled rubber to be reused in terms of mixing with concrete", is based on research carried out by the student Joao Quito from Industrial Engineering. Joao tells us how the objective of his research was "to contribute to the construction sector with elements that are of great durability such as rubber"
