The university’s branch in Cuenca will inaugurate the laboratory of electric mobility, Electric Mobility Lab- EmoLab, this Thursday, November 24th in the automotive mechanical engineering workshop at 10am.

Students will now have a place that puts the university at the same technological level of global tendencies. This will be the first electric mobility lab in the country. The constant monitoring of the performance and conditions of the Electric Vehicle will allow students to verify, adapt and correct some of the parameters of this technology and its adaptability to the local and national environment. 

The aim of creating the laboratory was to promote the protection and care for the environment by fostering clean energies and sustainable development. Therefore, UPS encourages the use of green mobility with zero emissions and, thanks to EmoLab, they can combine the electric vehicle, the green recharge and green energy.

Electric vehicles are becoming a real alternative for combustion vehicles due to its numerous advantages such as: respect for the environment, energy efficiency and practically no noise emissions.
