UPS-Quito professor Esteban Plaza took part in the "VI Latin American Congress on Design Teaching" which was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina and organized by Universidad de Palermo. 

Professor Plaza also participated in the "X Latin American Meeting on Design", which was organized by the Latin American Association of Digital Multimedia. UPS is a member of this Association.

The aim of the congress was to get students, professors and researchers in the field of design together so that they could share their experiences and thus strengthen education in design and communication.

Esteban Plaza presented two papers: Diseño digital de portales web universitarios en Ecuador" and "Luz y color mediante instalaciones de video mapping".

The first topic analyzes the architecture of the information in web sites and the ease of access and understanding of information for users, while the second is about the techniques used by digital tools to communicate messages and collect information without affecting the physical environment. 

The research conducted by professor Plaza reinforces his knowledge and directly influence the development of his students at UPS; he said that having participated in both events was very enriching since he was able to share his thoughts with students and professors in the field of communication systems in the internet.
