The university's "UPS Channel TV, the students' channel" launched its 5th season by showing the programs created by students. The event was attended by renowned journalists, TV presenters, musicians, soccer players and other TV people. 

"The work carried out by students has been very gratifying since UPS Channel TV is greatly accepted by students from several majors in the university", said Cesar Andrade, coordinator of the group.

During the event, members of the jury, which was made up by TV professionals and UPS professors, chose the three best audiovisual productions made by students:

•    First Place: Manikomio Tv, program for Young people and interviews to national and international artists
 
•    Second Place: Noticiero UPS Informa, news about several university events, academic, cultural, sports and research 

•    Third Place: El Politécnico Salesiano, interviews, analysis and opinions in politics, economy and social issues.
