The Salesian Group UPSCHANNEL TV from the university's branch campus in Guayaquil held its annual training sessions for its members, the topics were audiovisual production and the use of cameras. It was an important activity to update students' knowledge in this field.

The theoretical session and practicums were led by Ronald Álvarez and the topics were: pre-production, production and post-production, use of cameras, news broadcasting, making news reports and chronicles, and other topics.

"The aim is to constantly update students on audiovisual communication", said Cesar Andrade, coordinator of this group.

"These sessions enable students to directly work within means of communication and it's a great experience for us", said Melissa Ávala, communication student and a member of UPSCHANNEL TV.

Once the training sessions were over, the members of the group went on the annual trip; this time it was to baños. The aim of having the trip is to foster friendship among the members of this group. The group also worked on a plan for its future activities, such as the creation of new programs, recording the news program "UPS INFORMA", and others.

"What we do in UPS CHANNEL is communicate the activities that take place in UPS, internally and externally", said Diego Tandazo, UPS student.
