UPS signed an academic cooperation agreement with Chongqing Technology and Business University from China

Sun Fangcheng, PhD, President of Chongqing Technology and Business University (CBTU), visited Universidad Politecnica Salesiana (UPS) to meet with its President, Javier Herran Gomez, to sign an academic cooperation agreement.

The aim of the agreement is to conduct joint research projects, hold academic seminars, have exchange programs for students, professors and researchers, as well as joint work on publications, scientific and pedagogic documentation.

During the meeting, the university officials spoke about key issues regarding the agreement:

-    Both universities will validate the courses taken in either one of the partner institutions according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS)

-    The universities will decide the number of credits and the level of education that students will have in the exchange.

-    Students who wish to be part of the exchange program must be officially enrolled in the home university. 

After signing the agreement, the guests took a tour of the university campus, especially the mechanical engineering laboratories.

During this visit, both university officials presented a plaque for the Sino-Ecuador Joint Laboratory of Intelligent Manufacturing and Condition Monitoring to commemorate the partnership.
