Course: “Territory, Identity and Power: methodological elements

Universidad Politecnica Salesiana invites you to attend the international course titled “Territory, Identity and Power: theoretical and methodological elements”. The guest speaker will be Rogerio Haesbaert, a professor – researcher from Universidad Federal Fluminense de Río de Janeiro, Brazil.

This academic event is to commemorate the 20 years’ existence of the management for local sustainable development undergraduate program. The aim of the course is to provide participants conceptual and methodological tools in Geography, Anthropology and Political Sociology regarding topics associated with construction and deconstruction of territories.

Instructors:

Sofía Zaragocin, Ph.D. (c). University of Cambridge (England), Department of Geography; Degree in Political Science, with a specialization in Gender Studies (University of Pennsylvania); teacher of FLACSO and CLACSO; adviser and researcher specializing in gender studies.

Fernando Garcés Ph.D. Linguist, specialized in Education Sciences. Professor-researcher in Centro de Estudios Superiores Universitarios de la Universidad Mayor de San Simón (CESU-UMSS), in Cochabamba-Bolivia. Expert and advisor on topics of Intercultural Bilingual Education in Latin America.

Pablo Ortiz-T. Ph.D. Political Sciences. Professor-researcher at UPS.
