The university's robotics club participated in the 2018 Robochallenge Competition
The robotics club from the university's branch campuses in Quito and Guayaquil participated in the 11th World Robotics Competition "Robochallenge International Robotics Competition" and obtained several recognitions.
The Robochallenge is considered one of the most important event in Europe. It brought together 135 representatives from 15 countries such as Bulgaria, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Moldova, Latvia, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Rumania, Russia, Turkey and Spain.
Jonathan Aguilar, Jefferson Yépez, María José Guaygua and Gustavo Reyes, members of the robotics club from Quito, won first and second place in the Maze category.
Miguel Vega, Malik Arcentales, David Carpio, Jesús Anchundia, Carlos Quiroga, Juan Guevara and Byron Lima, members of the robotics club from Guayaquil, won second and fourth place in different categories.
