A graduation ceremony was held in our branch campus in Quito for 444 new professionals. The ceremony was presided by Jose Juncosa, vice president of the university's campus in Quito, and the directors of the undergraduate programs. 

Jose Juncosa said "our commitment with you is not over, we will continue working hard to make this a better university, more academia, more culture, more polytechnic and more salesian". Among the graduates were Moises Pallo, communication; Elsa Pallo, management and leadership; and Ivan Shimpu pedagogy; all from salesian missions who lived in the university's intercultural residence. 

Moises Pallo spoke about his experience as a student and said " UPS welcomed me and I met many wonderful people, I learned to be supporting, value and respect different cultures. Being here has helped me grow spiritually and of course academically".

Johana Mayorga and Javier Jende, graduates of Management of Sustainable Local Development, stated "with this degree we can transform our territories with formal, academic and innovative proposals". while Jende, Tsáchila nationality, said that she was interested in studying at the university when she felt the need to obtain scientific knowledge in social and management issues, "what I have been learned helps me to learn about rural and urban issues with a look from the nationalities and plurinationalities of Ecuador so that I can help propose and reduce the social and cultural gaps that have separated us"

Kevin Cevallos, Karla Matehu, Tatiana Arias, Andrea Flores, Shirley Herrera, Edison Pillajo, Luis Fárez, Nathaly Andrade, Bryan Ramos, Ronald Correa, Andrés Aparicio, Silva Ordóñez and Richard Arrieta all received a certificate of competencies for having developed skills such as social responsibility,inclusion, leadership and communication.
