Our branch campus in Guayaquil won the Starbot Planet 2.0 Robotics Tournament

Our branch campus in Guayaquil won the Starbot Planet 2.0 Tournament in Quito, showing it is the national leader in technological innovation. Students majoring in electricity, electronics and mechatronics from several universities and clubs from Machala, Latacunga, Ambato, Machachi and Guayaquil took part in the tournament.
Our university had an outstanding participation in key categories such as Humanoid Robot Fight, Humanoid Race, and Dancing Robot, disciplines that include creativity, engineering, and advanced programming. Their outstanding performance earned them first place in the competition, making UPS a national benchmark in robotics.
Alberto Ramírez, coordinator of the Robotics Club, said that "the team's commitment and creativity were key to these results," and that these types of competitions "strengthen academic training and promote collaborative innovation." Alejandra Castillo, one of the group's members, said that "competing in the tournament was an invaluable experience for developing technical skills and teamwork."
Susana Lam, vice president of our branch campus in Guayaquil, congratulated the robotics club for their participation and their commitment to academic excellence. The university is a leader in educating professionals in robotics and emerging technologies. It strengthens science, innovation and sustainable development in Ecuador.
