Safety and Health activities at the "Teresa Valsé" Salesian school

 The university's "Safety and Health" group and students from the "Safety and Industrial Higiene" class who major in environmental engineering and industrial engineering in Cuenca, took part in the project titled Assessment of occupational risks, environmental training and emergency brigades, which was held in the "Teresa Valsé" Salesian school in Cuenca. 

The aim of this activity was to teach children and teachers about topics related to environmental safety and emergency brigades, as well as evaluate risks in the institution.

Students conducted several workshops and drills on safety and evacuation. They also worked on making risk maps for the institution. The students were accompanied by 9 professors from the environmental engineering major and 2 from industrial engineering; Miryan Loayza, director of this major, and professor Jorge Cabrera said the aims of the project were fulfilled.
