Yet again Universidad Politecnica Salesiana's branch in Cuenca held its traditional "Cultural Friday" event where this time students from Unidad Educativa Salesiana Maria Auxiliadora (UESMA) from the city of Esmeraldas presented traditional music and dance from Esmeraldas.

UPS president Javier Herran welcomed all the attendees to the event and thanked officials from UESMA for having accepted the invitation and taking part in the Cultural Friday event.

The event started with the choir, followed by the solo singer Veronica Simisterra and then the music and dance group from UESMA who delighted the public by dancing to music from Esmeraldas played by the orchestra.

Before the end of the event, the dancers invited the university officials to go up on stage and dance, which they did. Father Juan Flores, director of UESMA, thanked the attendees for all the love they showed to his students.

This event was this year's first "Cultural Friday" program in the university's branch campus in Cuenca. This program presents free cultural events on the last Friday of every month.
