After successfully meeting the editorial quality criteria, two of the university's journals (out of six), SOPHIA, a journal on philosophy of education, and ALTERIDAD, a journal on education, have been indexed to REDALYC, a network of journals from Latin America and the Carribean, Spain and Portugal.

The other four journals, UNIVERSITAS, a journal on social sciences; LA GRANJA, a journal on life sciences; INGENIUS, a journal on science and technology, and RETOS, a journal on administrative and economic sciences, are currently under assessment by REDALYC.

This process has been possible thanks to university officials who have made the dissemination of university knowledge an institutional policy and to the work of the journals' editors.

According to Luis Alvarez Rodas, general editor of UPS, "these results are thanks to the cooperative work of several departments in the university, who have worked to index the journals in the most important international indexes. We are still working hard and we will soon have more good news".
