5th automotive engineering conference “Preparation of the Annual Budget for Automotive Maintenance"

The community engagement department and the Automotive Engineering major in our branch campus in Guayaquil, invite students, faculty members, and professionals in the field to take part in this event, which aims to strategically plan resources allocated to vehicle maintenance.

Participants will learn about the importance of having a solid annual budget to avoid unexpected expenses and ensure operational continuity.

The conference will cover different types of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance, as well as the essential elements that should be considered when preparing a budget, including labor, spare parts, specialized services, tools, software, and indirect costs.

Finally, they will present a structured step-by-step methodology that allows participants to review historical expenses, project needs, estimate costs, plan investments, and establish a monitoring and control system. The talk concludes by offering a basic Excel template as practical support so attendees can immediately apply what they have learned.
