This course is aimed at students or professionals who would like to learn more about GNU/Linux as a user and administrator. In the course, participants will learn about the installation of GNU/Linux, principal commands, archives system, how to use the text editor, how to create new users, administer processes and software, etc. After the course, people will be capable of diagnosing, giving technical support and using GNU/Linux.

The general aim of this course is to give people theoretical and practical activities in process management, analysis and diagnosis of the GNU/LINUX operating system. 
The specific objetives are to: 

• Train participants in process management, security copies, users and services of the GNU/LINUX operating system.
• Give participants the knowledge needed to install and configure the GNU/LINUX operating system services.
• Configure and administer the following network services: HTTPD, FTP, DNS, SMPT, VPN,

The course will be held on Saturdays.
