The university's pastoral department in Guayaquil held a talk for students who were awarded a full scholarship by the state in order to answer all of their questions, update their personal information and explain the university's services.

60 students attended the talk to learn how the university will provide academic and human support for them to be successful. "The aim of the program is that students remain in the university, pass all their subjects and finish their studies", said Veronica Salazar who is in charge of the project.

During the talk they spoke about the tutoring programs where professors will help students in subjects they are having trouble with.

On the other hand, the counselling department will provide psychological, spiritual and pedagogical help. "Professors will provide tutoring at times that do not interfere with their regular classes. This is one of the best benefits we provide", said Salazar.
