Competition: Writing a screenplay for science

The university’s Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem invites students from all three branch campuses (Quito, Guayaquil and Cuenca) to take part in the first edition of the competition to write a screenplay to produce science videos – “Science is a screenplay”.

The aim of the competition is to make students responsible for creating content that will be disseminated and presented to society using common language. “Science is a screenplay” is aimed at students from all undergraduate programs that want produce a screenplay and a storyboard, according to the guidelines of the competition.

Participants must register until January 28th, they must choose a project from one of the Research Groups in the university and then write a screenplay and a storyboard according to the GUIDELINES OF THE COMPETITION.

No previous experience in writing screenplays is needed, the organizers will provide all the instructions that are needed to participate. Students must issue the storyboard up to February 18th via email: investigacion@ups.edu.ec. 

All the storyboards will receive an award. The jury will assess and then economically reward the participants according to creativity, quality and the structure of the content. The best screenplays will be uploaded in the university’s YouTube channel and disseminated through all social networks.
