Webinar: “Engineers in the industry 4.0 era”

EVENTO Presencial TIPO Webinar Cuenca miércoles, 21 abril 2021

The automotive engineering undergraduate program in our branch campus in Cuenca invites the university community to take part in the webinar: “Engineers in the industry 4.0 era”.

Technology advances rapidly and its impact on the future economy is huge. Thomas Frey - Senior Futurist at the DaVinci Institute and one of Google's highest-ranked Futurist speakers - predicts that around 2 billion jobs will disappear by 2030. While a study by the World Economic Forum: The Future of Jobs 2018 predicts that 75 million jobs will disappear by 2022 due to technological advances such as artificial intelligence, robotics and nanotechnology. In this regard, they also state that 65% of children who today enter primary school, will work in positions that do not yet exist.

With this background, the Automotive Engineering program wants participants to develop the skills to position themselves in the market and consolidate their business by causing the market to perceive them as a valuable resource that provides solutions. Thus, engineers who incorporate the skills to solve problems in a simple and effective way have a greater chance of being successful, fulfilling and happy.
