Study programs on poverty and inequalities

The Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO, in Spanish) with the support of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation its 2015 scholarships competition under the topic: “the production of inequalities in Latin America and the Caribbean”. The scholarships are aimed at researchers from Central America, Insular Caribbean, Bolivia, Ecuador and Paraguay.

The aim of the competition is to encourage the research in the abovementioned countries and motivate the development of studies on the topic based on five elements:

1) Gender and inequality
2) Cities and inequality
3) Education and inequality
4) Market and inequality
5) New forms of inequality.
 
National studies on current processes will receive special attention. The initiative included holding a workshop to share perspectives and facilitate academic cooperation among participants
