Course: Multilevel Decentralized Government, and Management

The management of local sustainable development major in the university’s branch campus in Quito and the German Technical Cooperation Agency (GIZ) have organized the continuing education course titled: Multilevel Decentralized Government,  and Management.

The aim of the course is to facilitate an integral understanding of decentralization topics and multilevel government based on the state’s territorial organization, as well as analyze political, administrative and fiscal decentralization related to the process of reform and planning in Ecuador. 

The course is aimed at local authorities, workers, professionals and technicians from decentralized autonomous governments, members and researchers from NGO’s, graduates and professors from higher education institutions. 

For the course there will be open questionnaires, practical sessions, panel discussions, role playing, forums; they will revise concepts, methodologies, and existing tools in the academic field.

It is a 40 hour course which will cost $200 for students and professors and $250 for the external public. The cost covers materials, coffee breaks and a field trip to Cayambe on April 28th.
