The Milk Quality Research Group (GILEC for its acronym in Spanish) is dedicated to research, dissemination and technology transfer in the field of production, transformation, selling and consumption of dairy products. 

The aim of the group is to contribute to the creation of knowledge and the solution of livestock related problems in Ecuador, and become a benchmark of research, consultation and information in order to design public policies, as well as social and sustainable business projects. All work is carried out professionally, impartiality and responsibly; we seek environmental balance, respect social dynamics and strengthen the university’s academic work.
