Missions and Indigenous Communities Research Group - GIMPI

The Missions and Indigenous Communities Research Group (GIMPI for its acronym in Spanish), brings together a series of researchers who seek to understand the complex relationships between Amazonian indigenous people and churches, Catholic or Protestant, whose presence in indigenous territories became missions. The Group is interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary because it takes into account history, sociology, communication, anthropology and theology, as well as the accumulated critical and proactive reflection of indigenous historical experience
