Educational Innovation Groups: Changing teaching approaches

Just like other universities, Universidad Politecnica Salesiana (UPS) develops educational strategies to strengthen its academic quality as well as improve its indicators of access, permanence and graduation. In this regard, the university focuses its attention in the creation of Educational Innovation Groups (GIE- UPS, for its acronym in Spanish)

Throughout our university's history, its professors, aware of the need of creating new methodologies, have developed actions for educational development that have supported teaching. However, the results have seldom been disseminated and have lost relevance. Therefore, the university's strategy is to formally create the Educational Innovation Groups (EIGs) and become a more creative and innovative university.

The university has a dynamic, committed and generous teaching staff willing to seek and experiment new ways to transmit and create knowledge. Students trust their professors and show they are willing to try new learning approaches and self-development. Furthermore, the university has a great administrative staff that provides excellent services to students and professors.
