Perceptions of socioeconomic reality in Cuenca

The Research Group on Perceptions of Socioeconomic Reality in Cuenca (IPSEC, for its acronym in Spanish) was created by the UPS-Cuenca business administration major to study the perceptions of socioeconomic reality in the city of Cuenca. Its aim is to have relevant data regarding social and economic issues by conducting research on people's perceptions of transportation, safety, education, housing, justice, and other transcendental topics for our community.

The aim is to directly influence political decisions that could improve the reality of our context by presenting specific and scientifically validated information that indicates both the current reality  we live in,  as well as how it has evolved in the last few years and then compare that information to the policies being applied by public administration.

The IPSEC research group also tries to get other research groups in the university as well as other institutions together in order to create an extensive data base that will be useful for analysis and writing papers.
