In order to create awareness in high students about new clean technology for transport, its benefits and how it helps the environment, the university's automotive engineering undergraduate program is currently carrying out a community involvement project titled "Sustainable Mobility".

The project began on January 9th and is aimed at senior year students from technical high schools in the areas of electricity, industrial and automotive mechanics. "UPS promotes the use of green mobility with no emissions by using electric vehicles", said Renato Fierro, director of the automotive engineering undergraduate program at the university.

The topics presented during the talks are:

- Operation of combustion engines

- Used oils

- Engine waste

- Electric vehicles

The talks are led by UPS students who promote caring for the environment through new technology. These students have already visited the following high schools: Instituto Suárez, Colegio Nacional Técnico Simón Bolívar y el Colegio Joaquín Gallegos Lara.

This project also enables people to know about the university's automotive engineering program and plan training sessions based on students' needs for future projects.
