Students presented their projects to high school students

The electronics, automation and telecommunications undergraduate programs from the university's branch campus in Guayaquil organized an academic event titled "Technological Future". The aim of this event was to present innovative projects created by UPS students to high school students to encourage their interest in this field as well as present the university's programs. 
 
"These events are important because we can interact with students and present technological advances in automation and electronics", said Byron Lima, coordinator of the robotics club in Guayaquil.
 
There were also talks on the following topics:
 
- The use of technology for research
 
- Development of prototypes in robotics
 
- Contribution of technological development in the country
 
UPS students presented humanoid robots, robots that can play soccer, fighting robots and drones. They visited the following high schools: Colegio Balandra, Cruz del Sur and Liceo de los Andes.
 
On another note, the robotics club also took part in a fair titled "Sambo Arte 2018" which was organized by the 3000School Magazine and the Municipality of Samborondon where students also presented their robots.
