The Mini BootCamp presented several business projects

From the 18th of August to the 1st of September, the university's coworking office in Guayaquil held the 2018 Mini BootCamp, an event that seeks to enhance leadership and creativity skills of students, alumni and the overall public who were part of the event.
 
Participants of the boot camp were given several tools that will help them start their own business. The event is led by the university's head of research and mentoring school.
 
"The mentoring and change management school seeks to turn people into mentors so they can guide others creating new ventures", said Victoria Izquieta, coordinator of the coworking office in Guayaquil.
 
The topics covered during the event were:
 
- Emotional intelligence
 
- CANVAS business model
 
- Prototypes
 
- The importance of entrepreneurship in Guayaquil
 
- Scamper methodology: redesigning products
 
- Making a pitch: how to sell your idea in two minutes
 
There were two categories so participants could present their innovative projects with a pitch.  In the category titled "Redesign of products" the winner was Anthony Guerrero Mendoza who presented an umbrella that could take selfies.
 
In the "Technology and Innovation" category, the winner was Paullete Anzueles. Her project is titled "Sign Traductor" a platform aimed at people with hearing and talking impairment that uses artificial intelligence to transmit a message through signs.
