On the 21st and 22nd of February, our branch campus in Quito held the 10th National Meeting titled "Citizenship schools. My family, my place". The aim of this event is to understand and value family as an opportunity of growth and development that can strengthen the skills of children and teenagers.

The participants were teachers and students from 12 to 16 years old from San Lorenzo, Esmeraldas, Santo Domingo, Ambato, Quito, Guayaquil and Cuenca. They attended workshops and talks on Don Bosco's preventive system.

In the opening ceremony, Sebastian Granda, acting vice president, welcomed all the participants. "Your participation enhances our university, feel yourselves at home, we are happy to have you."

"We seek to strengthen attitudes and enhance leadership skills, social participation and organization to turn children and teenagers into protagonists", said Soledad Soto.

Members of the groups Acción Guambras, TESPA and UESPA from Quito attended workshops on writing, photography, radio and video which were led by professors Nicolás Dousdebés, Nelly Valbuena and Patricia Villagómez,
