Universidad Politécnica Salesiana has recently implemented an electronic invoicing system that will provide students and overall public a faster and more efficient service as well as significantly reducing the use of paper and helping the environment.

Xavier Chaca Lucero, the University's General Accountant, explained that this new service complies with IRS regulations and that in 2015 all invoices will be digital.

To UPS students:

Students will no longer have to get their invoices at the University treasury department. After the invoice is issued, it will be send to their university email where they can download it in case they need to print it. All students will get their invoices either to their personal university email or any other email appointed by them.

The Process:

Students can state the name of the person that will go on the invoice at the time of their pre-registration. Once they have paid at the bank, within 48 hours, the university will email the invoice to the student's email address in approximately 24 hours.

This process will begin on January 5th, 2015 in UPS Cuenca, Quito and Guayaquil.
