The reading and writing center in the university's campus in Cuenca and students from the accounting and auditing undergraduate program presented a talk on the book "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. 

The center organizes a monthly talk on a book, where students from all study programs can participate. 

Based on the story, students talked about some of the daily problems and fears they sometimes have to face in the university. 

Fernanda Jimenez, professor and member of the reading and writing center, said students' response to these events have been spectacular and it has become an activity for students' personal growth. 

The overall message of the book is that there is always a new beginning full of hope.
