Due to the health emergency caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, professors and students are currently carrying out their academic activities online through the university's virtual learning environments (VLEs)

11,000 students in the university's campus in Quito and 6,000 in Cuenca have continued their registration process online and are getting ready to start a new academic period. The university's campus in Guayaquil will continue its registration process until the month of May and will do it online, it is also providing support through WhatsApp.

Over 1,500 professionals from the areas of IT, admissions, communication, web management, social networks, HR, accounting and others are teleworking so the university can keep up with its activities as much as possible. VPNs have been activated to facilitate people´s work from home. The VLEs have also been activated for about 15,000 from our branch campuses in Quito and Cuenca.

967 Zoom accounts have been activated for professors which will enable them to have real time classes with up to 300 students per session. Freshmen students started classes on March 9th and have been using the VLEs where professors upload material and tasks.

A pop up window will also appear in the university's website to provide students phone numbers and email addresses of people they can contact for support.
