Talks on anti-seismic infrastructures for civil engineering students

The civil engineering undergraduate program in our branch campus in Guayaquil held the 3rd Academic Conference on Civil Engineering which allowed students to update theoretical and practical knowledge on things such as anti-seismic infrastructures, soil improvement techniques, programming in structural calculations for anchors and more.
Karla Ayala spoke about her experience in roadworks and toll roads, “Introducing students to topics such as flexible pavement and its basic aspects is very important for road projects to meet the technical, economic, and safe expectations for users, which is why this type of academic talks is essential to learn information that strengthens what has been learned in class.”
Israel Tigre, UPS professor, spoke about the tools and techniques for the optimal analysis of seismic risk, "We explained the relationship of civil engineering with geotechnics, soil mechanics, as well as the structural and hydraulic part. This allows them to know from the professional field the strategies and techniques that they learn at the university and put them into practice".
