Students and alumni from the psychology, communication, basic and early education undergraduate programs in our branch campus in Quito met to discuss their academic experiences at the university as beneficiaries of a scholarship from “Fundación CRISFE”. 

 

There are currently 72 beneficiaries, 19 in our branch campus in Quito, 35 in Cuenca and 18 in Guayaquil. Last semester, 22 students graduated thanks to this agreement. 

 

The meeting was attended by Maria Sol Villagomez, vice president of our branch campus in Quito; Silvia Gomez, head of the students wellbeing department; Patricia Jara and Martina Zurita, from the students wellbeing department; and karla Montalvo and John Salazar, from CRISFE.


 
Karla Montalvo said that CRISFE’s mission is to support children’s and teenagers’ education and that it is of great satisfaction to them prosper. Lizbeth Oña, graduate of psychology, thanked everyone who helped her get the scholarship and allow her to finish her degree. Mael Teran, graduate of communication, thanked the university and the foundation for their constant support both academically and personally.  
Patricia Jara, coordinator of this agreement, said that guiding students throughout this process is very enriching and that students are always very thankful. 


CRISFE supports people’s education, especially those with low economic resources and from vulnerable groups such as indigenous communities.
