The automotive engineering undergraduate program in our branch campus in Guayaquil held the 4th scientific conference on automotive engineering titled: “Strategies for managing a karting competition team”.

Roberto López, professor in charge, stated that this talk is one of the four that are going to be held during this semester in order to update students' knowledge. “Research groups are very important for innovative professional development, therefore, Rafael Wilmer Contreras Urgiles, research professor from the GIIT engineering and transportation research group in our branch campus in Cuenca, worked with students and presented the results of the research and their proposals”. Students learned about new trends and innovative techniques for their development in motor sport competitions and put them into practice in future editions.

Danna Córdova, ninth semester student, said the talks allowed them to have a new perspective on the automotive sector and to be updated on market trends, “this talk allowed us to take advantage of the experience of the speakers who encouraged us to put theory into practice and provided us with examples from their own experiences.”
