The university has made a monetary donation to Inspectoria Salesiana del Ecuador to support the campaign titled "Activa tu corazón" carried out by Misión Don Bosco whose aim is to help more than 2,000 families with limited resources who have been seriously affected by the pandemic.

Misión Don Bosco supports hundreds of people in Ecuador who live in poor conditions, they not only need economic resources, but also access to education and work in order to transform their lives.

A meeting was held in order to make the donation official, it was attended by Francisco Sánchez, Inspector of Salesians in Ecuador; Juan Cárdenas, UPS president; Fernando Pesántez, general vice president; Juan Pablo Salgado, head of research; Diego Peñaloza, head of postgraduate programs; Leonardo Pacheco and Johanna Fajardo, from the human resources department.
