Our branch campus in Cuenca held a graduation ceremony for 141 students; 61 from postgraduate programs in business administration, control and automation, especial education, cultural management, telematics and psychology; and 80 from undergraduate programs in accounting and auditing, education sciences, communication, physical education, local development management and mechatronics engineering.

The ceremonies were  presided by UPS president Juan Cardenas, Fernando Moscoo, vice president of our branch campus in Cuenca; Diego Peñaloza, Head of postgraduate programs; Juan Pablo Salgado, Head of research. The ceremonies were held under strict biosecurity measures. 

Father Juan Cardenas said "this is a new opportunity to recognize your dreams, effort and perseverance for academic, professional and life projects. Today your programs come to an end, but it is not the end of your education. Your desire for personal and professional growth must remain constant and you must view life with optimism". 

Fernando Moscoso congratulated the graduates and recognized their hard work and effort, "may your education and professional lives make a difference and help build a better society":
It was a special ceremony for the mechatronics undergraduate program because it was its first group of graduates, 13 new mechatronic engineers. Eddy Ayala, director of the mechatronics undergraduate program said the mechatronics undergraduate program was created 7 years ago and since then it has been in constant growth. It currently has 425 students; he congratulated the graduates. 

A graduate worth acknowledging is Nelson Tsukanka Bajay, who graduate as a bachelor in local development management. He comes from the Shuar nationality, he stated that this degree will allow him to become more involved in his community and help with its development. 

Mateo Brito Beltrán and Vladimir Tamayo Campoverde received certificates that acknowledge their competencies in social responsibility, inclusion, leadership and soft skills.
