Times Higher Education (THE) Latin America University Ranking lists the best universities in Latin America and the Carribean. The ranking is based on several indicators and this year our university was ranked sixth on the publication released on July 13th.

The 2021 ranking includes 177 institutions from 13 countries; 11 higher education institutions from Ecuador took part in the ranking.

THE focuses on indicators it has worked with in recent years, it assesses institutional characteristics in all its main missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international perspective.

The methodology used in the ranking at the Latin American level is the same that is usually used for the world ranking in order to reflect the educational profile in Latin America and in the world. UPS will continue to work hard each year to improve its academic level in several important indicators for the development of the university community.
